The Fool’s Hope music video is now online, taken from the album Let the Dead Bury Their Dead.
Fool’s Hope focuses on an individual who refuses to accept imposed truths and chooses to stand against doubt, judgment, and social expectations. The lyrics explore the inner conflict between resistance and acceptance, as well as the illusion of hope that can either drive change or keep people trapped in passive waiting.
The song raises questions of responsibility and personal choice. The door is already open, but stepping through requires awareness and courage. Fool’s Hope is not a story about salvation, but about realizing that real change does not come from the outside, but from within.

The full video is finally here. Recorded for the 10th anniversary of our album Tree of Life, this song carries a message that feels just as important today as it did a decade ago.
Featuring guest on vocals Łukasz Kozakiewicz from Serpents. We toured Europe together while supporting Ektomorf and we are proud to have him on this track.
The production is intentionally very raw. Everything was recorded in Studio Ork in Jevnica, capturing honesty, imperfections and real energy. The entire production was handled by our guitarist David Vodopivec.
Unity in Diversity speaks about breaking the barriers we create between ourselves, the illusions and divisions that separate us. Strength comes from standing together, because inside we are all the same. A message that still matters. Maybe now more than ever.

Zdaj, skoraj desetletje kasneje, se vračajo s polno močjo, da znova povežejo publiko in obudijo tisto, kar je Last Day Here vedno pomenil – surovo energijo, iskreno emocijo in nepozaben nastop.

Močne kitare, udarna ritem sekcija in energičnost vokalista jim širi poslušalstvo z vsakim koncertom in jih uvršča med moderne new age metal skupine.

Slovenian modern metal band INMATE has released their latest music video for the single Let the Dead Bury Their Dead, now available on all official platforms.
The song is a gripping reflection on inner transformation. Lyrically, it delves into the struggle of shedding emotional weight — guilt, regret, and fear — in order to reclaim one’s strength and purpose. Drawing from the symbolic meaning of its title, the track is a powerful call to bury the remnants of a broken past and step forward into a more authentic and liberated existence.
The music video was filmed at the Thermal Power Plant Šoštanj, a location chosen for its raw industrial energy and visual symbolism. The setting enhances the song’s themes of decay and renewal. Directed by Marko Duplišak, INMATE’s vocalist, the video combines stark performance shots with striking imagery to portray the emotional journey from collapse to awakening.
In Loving Memory of Andrej Bezjak (1977–2024)
It is with heavy hearts that we honor the memory of our dear friend and brother, Andrej Bezjak.
Andrej was more than just a part of our journey — he was a passionate supporter, a constant presence, and a soul whose energy left a lasting mark on everyone he met. His love for music, his unwavering spirit, and his belief in what we do will forever echo in every note we play.
Though he is no longer with us, his light continues to guide us. The music video for Let the Dead Bury Their Dead is dedicated to his memory.
This one is for you, Andrej. Rest in power.

LYRICS
We are weighted down by all the things in our lives The less we have in life, the less we have to worry about Just leave it! Let the dead bury their dead! Leave it! There’s nothing to take to the other side
We feel imprisoned inside ourselves We feel so empty inside ourselves We feel imprisoned inside ourselves Without Your guidance we are so lost
What do we support? Do we encourage life or death? Who will we remember at the time of our death? Wasting! Why are we wasting precious time for… For stupid things that keep us down?
This time I’m ready for anything This time I’m ready to follow You
We feel imprisoned inside ourselves
Let the dead bury their dead!
This time I’m ready for anything I’ll follow You with trust I’ll follow You with trust This time I’m ready to follow You To You I open myself To You I open myself To You I open myself I’m ready to follow You with trust I’m ready to follow You with trust Let the dead bury their dead, ’cause their spirit’s dead Material life is always fearful So God, please save us
We feel imprisoned inside ourselves We feel so empty inside ourselves We feel imprisoned inside ourselves We feel so empty inside ourselves
It is with immense sorrow and heavy hearts that we bid farewell to Andrej.
From the very beginning, Andrej was the heart and soul of our music, crafting nearly every instrumental track across our five studio albums. His creativity knew no bounds; he was a relentless fountain of ideas, always surprising us with fresh riffs and melodies. We will forever cherish the moments when he shared his latest creations, transforming them in rehearsal into the songs that defined us. Those countless hours spent together—playing, listening, debating, and immersing ourselves in music—are now priceless memories. Andrej lived and breathed music, and his passion inspired everyone around him.
Beyond his unmatched musical talent, Andrej was the architect of our lyrics and the guiding force behind INMATE’s ideology. Losing him is not just losing a bandmate but the very foundation of what made this journey so special.
Even after he moved with his family to Austria, his devotion to the band never wavered. Despite the distance, he showed up with joy and enthusiasm, whether for rehearsals, concerts, or tours. We deeply admired how he balanced his love for his family with his commitment to the band, and we cherished every opportunity to perform alongside him. His presence on this year’s European tour, particularly in Austria and Hungary, felt like a gift we now hold even closer to our hearts.
The memory of our final performance together on November 3rd in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany, is etched in us forever. Dropping him off at his home the next day, none of us imagined it would be our last goodbye.
Andrej was more than a bandmate; he was a steadying presence, a problem-solver, and above all, a true friend. His loyalty, discipline, unwavering principles, and calmness in resolving conflicts were qualities we admired deeply and will miss dearly. His confident presence on stage will never fade from our minds.
This is an unimaginable loss, one we will carry with us always. Andrej’s legacy is vast, and we are profoundly grateful for every moment we shared—in the rehearsal room, on stage, in the studio, and in our lives.
Though the road ahead will be difficult and forever changed, we know Andrej would want us to continue. His spirit will remain a part of INMATE, guiding us as we honor him through our music.
With broken hearts,
Marko, Jure V., David, Jure G.
WE ARE ETERNAL! WE ARE JUST TRAVELLING THROUGH THIS TIME AND SPACE.

LYRICS
We could have peace, if we could see beyond our greed We could have peace, if we could see beyond our needs
We could have been aware of God, if we could clean our hearts Can we put our egos at bay? Can we put our egos at bay? The pure knowledge is given from above for all of us Without God all is in vain Without God all is in vain So, how many chances have we been given? Have we lost our faith in God? What will awake us all?
Do you ever wonder what’s coming? I always wonder if we could have it all
Do you lie awake at night and wonder who we are? Now we dwell and linger here in doubts and despair Instead of Truth we listened to lies Instead of Truth we listened to lies After so many lives we know almost nothing Have we lost our faith in trust? Is there a hope for us?
How many chances have we been given? I always wonder if we could have it all Do you ever wonder what’s coming? I still believe, that we can have it all Do you wonder what is coming? I wanna understand it all How many chances we’ve been given? Are we aware, we’ve had it all?
We had it all, we didn’t care You know it for sure? We had it all, we didn’t see it How many times have you been lost? We had it all, we didn’t care How many lies have you been told? We had it all, we didn’t see it
We could have lived together in peace, had we kept our egos at bay …had we kept our envy away
We could have been aware of God, if we could clean our hearts Can we put our egos at bay? Without God all is in vain

LYRICS So, this is what I’ve been waiting for It may not be, yet I’m closer now Everyone is searching for a joy You’re like a spark in the darkest night I’m always blessed to receive Your grace Still, I’m ”poor” I’ve come to You
I gave my heart to You I’m not about to be broken I have no time to die
So, this is what I have wanted You’re bringing out the very best of me With open heart closer to You I’m rather with You on the longest night
So close to You Now I believe in You So close to You You know who I am I’ve come back to see You Another day passes by
I’m not about to be broken I’m coming back for Your shelter There’s no time to die

LYRICS The more I’m like myself the less I am like anyone else. That makes me so unique.
Sometimes less is more. The less I reveal, the more I see … the better it’s for me.
Nothing in life is to be feared. It is the time to understand less is more. Wanting less is better than having… Less is more. That’s all I need.

LYRICS It means ‘’to live is to suffer’’ If I don’t get what I want… just go away I’ll hit the bottom again now What would be better To ease the pain
Why, why, why should we suffer the pain We aren’t here only to play their game
I cannot run away I just stay true to myself I shall not look away The more options I have… I let it go
Moving on now…
I see life taken for granted Every man is controlled by fate But I will not be defeated Why did I come to this place again
You cannot run away You just stay true to yourself You shall not look away The more options you have… just let it go
Should we suffer the pain Now knowing to play their game And should we suffer the pain
It hurts when somebody lets you down and down again Move on Don’t you look back Now keep moving on
I cannot run away Staying true to self I shall not look away Away… I cannot run away Staying true to self The more options that I have the more I just let it… Moving on…
